David Fong's

Bloomington, MN

The current location of David Fong's was built in 1966.  For a video about the Fong family see: http://www.davidfongs.com/aboutus/.  The original 60's structure is beautifully intact! Fong's is technically not labeled a "supper club" but is within the same vein.  It is across between a tiki bar and a supper club - with Polynesian drinks and all!

Amy and Amy in front entrance way.  Check out the amazing tile work!

Check out the light pattern that the front hall light leaves on the wall.  Psychedelic delight!

George Nelson style lamps hang from a brown smoke-tinted ceiling.  Christmas lights in August!

One of my favorite features is this dizzying gold disco wall paper that leads down the hallway into the basement.  It makes for a great back drop for a glamorous photo shoot!

Another George Nelson-esque specimen.  They are so smoke-tinted that they almost look orange.

Make sure to check-out karaokee on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the most colorful crowd.  And hey - maybe you will even see this guy.

Watch out - the drinks are STRONG!  Strong booze and super sweet.  Shhhh, don't tell - the secret ingredient is sweet and sour sauce - no lie!

The Fong's crew is helpful and friendly - like this guy.  Whatever you do beware of the Fong's fever!
